Tom Fritz

Former County Man Killed In Arizona
Tom Fritz, 58, former McClain county farmer, was killed in a mining accident near Globe, Arizona on March 19, it was reported here today. He was the father-in-law of M.T. Hopkins, former Purcell resident, now living at Gelbert, Arizona.
According to the message received here, Fritz was entering the mine just ahead of others when tons of ore suddenly crashed down on him. His body was recovered after several hours of rescue work and funeral services were conducted three days later.
He is survived by his wife, who lived at the home address of Globe, one son, Leo Fritz of Coalgate, Okla.,; three daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Hopkins of Gelbert, Ariz., Mrs. Geraldine Wisdom of Hobart; Mrs. Lillian Thurber of Shawnee; and two sisters, Mrs. Lula Harvey and Mrs. Ida Wood, both of Shawnee.

Donnie D. Self

Funeral services for Donnie D. Self,25, of 201 East Prairie St., Odell, Ill. were conducted Tuesday, April 12 (1966) at 2:30 p.m. at the Cole and Maud Chapel in Coolidge. the Rev. James Day of the Boulevard Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in the Valley Memorial Park.
Mr. Self, the son of Rufus Self of Coolidge, died Thursday April 7th at St. James Hospital in Pontiac, Ill. He was born Dec. 23, 1940 in Snyder, Okla., and served in the Navy from 1958-1961. After his discharge, he worked for the Telephone Company.
Mr. Self is survived by his wife Georgia of Odell, Ill., and a brother and sister, as well as his father, Rufus of Coolidge.

Elsie Jane Caudle

Elsie Jane Caudle, McLoud, died Sunday, May 9 (1993). She was 85.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Meeker First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Wright officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague.
Visitation will be at the Meeker chapel of Parks Brothers Funeral Home beginning 10 a.m. Tuesday.
She was born May 8, 1908, at Hot Springs, Ark. She married Paul Caudle May 7, 1926. and he preceded her in death Oct. 3, 1987. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Earnest Paul Caudle, McLoud and Melvin F. Caudle, Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one sister, Ethel Green, Meeker.
The casket will be open at Curry Parks Chapel in Meeker from 10 a.m. Tuesday until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The casket will not be open at the church.

Larry Melton East

Larry East
Larry Melton East, 32, Moore, died Monday in Tulsa from injuries he received in a truck accident. Services will be 2 p.m. Wenesday at Vondel L. Smith and Sons Mortuary with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.
A native of Hayward, Calif. East came to Oklahoma City in 1949 and graduated from Choctaw High School in 1964. He was a truck driver for United Parcel Service and a member of Regency Park Baptist Church in Moore.
East was also a member of the Teamster's Union Local 886.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Lee, a daughter, Kellie, and two sons, Tracy and Brandon, all of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Teresa Coe of El Reno, Mrs. Lena Francis of Erick, and Mrs. Sharon Gordon, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Bill of Bakersfield, Calif., and Dwayne, Yarba Linda, Calif., his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Melton East of Oklahoma City and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Beria East of Sayre.
