Oscar A. Milliken

Milliken Rites Held At Dibble
Funeral services for Oscar A. Milliken, 95, were held Feb. 13 in the Dibble High School Auditorium, with Rev. B.T. Neal and Rev. Dale Vanderburg officiating. Interment was in the Dibble cemetary with the Eisenhour Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Born Oct. 6, 1884 in Grayson county, Texas, he moved to Love county as a young man and married Willie Drake on Nov. 28, 1906 at Marietta. He later moved to a farm in McClain County in the Dibble-Blanchard area.
He died Feb. 11 in the Lindsay Municipal Hospital following an illness.
He is survived by two sons, J.A. Milliken of Alex; Chester Milliken of Oklahoma City; five daughters, Florence McCarty of Rush Springs; Mae Montague and Bessie Mason, both of Blanchard; Tina Milliken of Oklahoma City; Rachel Childress of Alex; one brother, J.A. Milliken of Grove; three sisters, Nita Maytubby of Moore; Emma Willingham of Dallas, Tex.; Tillie Ratts of Wichita, Kan.; eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
His wife preceded him in death in 1973; a daughter, Plina, died in 1968 and a son, Noah, died in 1945 during World War II.
Milliken was a member of the Blanchard Masonic Lodge No. 393. He first joined the Dibble Masonic Lodge in 1916.
