James Alfred (Boose) Milliken
James A. Milliken, born April 3, 1911, to Oscar and Willie Drake Milliken in Alex, died on August 4 (1996) at Norman Regional Hospital. He was 85. Services were held Tuesday, August 6, at the Church of Christ in Blanchard with Dwight Brown officiating. Internment was in the Dibble Cemetary with arrangements under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
Mr. Milliken was united in marriage to Leona Reed on May 14, 1971 at the Dibble Freewill Baptist Church. They resided south of Blanchard until 1993. They later moved to Blanchard due to health reasons.
Mr. Milliken was a farmer and owned a grocery store until 1973. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Alex. He joined the Masonic Lodge #457 AF and AM of Alex. He was initiated April 18, 1956.
He is survived by his wife Leona of the home; three sisters, Bessie Mason of the Senior Village of Blanchard, Rachel Childress of Midwest City and Tina Milliken of Oklahoma City and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
