Bessie Jewel Milliken Mason was born in McClain County, Oklahoma, April 3, 1913 to her parents Oscar and Willie Milliken. She passed away at Norman Regional Hospital October 16, 1997 at 84 years of age.

Bessie was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to Senior Citizens and having fellowship with her friends. She loved to quilt, sew and garden. She was a kind, wonderful and caring sister, wife, and friend. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include two sisters Rachel Childress of Midwest City; Tina Milliken of Oklahoma City; and sister-in-law Leona Milliken of Blanchard; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers include Ronald Chapman, Billy Childress, Cody Layman, Robbie Doan, and David Williams.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Mason, parents Oscar and Will; three brothers, Noah, Chester, and Boose, three sisters, Plina, Mae and Florence.

Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 18, 1997 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Rev. David Pickard officiated with internment held in the Dibble Cemetary, Dibble, Oklahoma. Arrangements were under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard, Oklahoma.
