Clarence Virgil (Jack) McCarty

Funeral Services Were Held Tuesday For Virgil McCarty
Funeral services for Clarence Virgil McCarty, 71 were held Tuesday, Nov. 25th (1969) at 2 p.m. from the Callaway-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Rush Springs. C.E. Bernard officiated.
McCarty, a retired farmer, had been a resident of the Rush Springs area for 22 years. He was born Jan. 15th, 1898 near Pauls Valley, and died Sunday, Nov. 23, at 7:30 p.m. at his home 306 W. Comanche following a lengthy illness. He was married Nov. 13th, 1927 to Florence Milliken in the Dare community near Blanchard.
Burial was in the Dibble Cemetery under the direction of the Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
Pallbearers were Charlie Ferguson, Bill Sweat, R.L. Loyd, James Dennis, T.L. Davis, and M. L. Weyrick.
Survivors include his wife, Florence, of the home; two sons, Verle and Merle McCarty, both of Rush Springs; a daughter, Leatrice Chapman of Blanchard; one sister, Mrs. Fannie Kenett, and 7 grandchildren.
